# Effects SDK > Effects SDK provides two on-device SDKs for real-time apps: the Video Effects SDK (virtual background, background blur and replacement, auto-framing, beautification, color correction) and the Audio Effects SDK (AI noise suppression, room echo removal, Studio Sound, voice changer, audio and video file cleanup). Both run on the end-user device on Web (JavaScript + WebAssembly), iOS, Android, Windows and macOS; the Audio SDK also runs on Linux. Pricing is session-based: a free trial in the Developer Portal, pay as you go from $50 per month, or custom enterprise plans. Trials are self-service: register at https://effectssdk.ai/cp/registration to get a Customer ID, then install the SDK (`npm i effects-sdk` or `npm i audio-effects-sdk` on the web). No video or audio leaves the device; only SDK activations (sessions) are registered for billing. ## Products - [Video Effects SDK](https://effectssdk.ai/products/video-effects-sdk): real-time video effects for web, iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Electron and Flutter. - [Web Video Effects SDK](https://effectssdk.ai/products/web-video-effects-sdk): the browser edition for WebRTC apps, npm package `effects-sdk`. - [Audio Effects SDK](https://effectssdk.ai/products/audio-effects-sdk): noise suppression, room echo removal, Studio Sound, Voice Changer and file cleanup. - [AI Noise Cancellation SDK](https://effectssdk.ai/products/ai-noise-cancellation-sdk): noise suppression for calls, meetings and voice AI agents; For audio noise, see the AI Noise Cancellation SDK. Platforms: Web, Electron, Windows, macOS, Android. - [Portrait lighting](https://effectssdk.ai/features/portrait-lighting): A studio-style light on the speaker, with the background subtly darkened for depth. Platforms: Web, Electron, Windows, macOS, Android. - [Overlays & lower thirds](https://effectssdk.ai/features/overlays-lower-thirds): Names, titles, captions, logos and picture-in-picture rendered into the video stream. Platforms: Web, Electron, Flutter. - [Room echo removal](https://effectssdk.ai/features/room-echo-removal): Voices sound close and natural, even in empty rooms and halls. Platforms: Web, iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, Flutter. - [Studio Sound](https://effectssdk.ai/features/studio-sound): A broadcast-style voice chain that makes any microphone sound like a studio setup. Platforms: Web. - [Voice Changer](https://effectssdk.ai/features/voice-changer): Make a voice unrecognizable while keeping speech intelligible. Platforms: Web. - [Audio & video file cleanup](https://effectssdk.ai/features/audio-video-file-cleanup): Remove noise from recordings on the user's device — no uploads, no servers to run. Platforms: Web. ## Comparisons - [Effects SDK vs NVIDIA Maxine](https://effectssdk.ai/compare/nvidia-maxine): NVIDIA Maxine and Effects SDK both offer video effects and audio noise removal SDKs. The difference is where they run: Maxine needs an NVIDIA RTX GPU, while Effects SDK runs in the browser, on phones, on Macs and on any Windows PC. - [Effects SDK vs Krisp](https://effectssdk.ai/compare/krisp): Krisp and Effects SDK both remove background noise on the user's device for calls and voice agents. Effects SDK also covers video — backgrounds, framing, touch-up — and Studio Sound, with a self-service trial. Krisp additionally removes other people's voices. - [Effects SDK vs MediaPipe](https://effectssdk.ai/compare/mediapipe): MediaPipe is Google's free, open-source toolkit: it gives you segmentation masks and face landmarks, and you build the effects. Effects SDK ships the finished effects — with models tuned against flicker and for hands and hair — plus audio noise cancellation and support. ## Solutions - [Meeting platforms](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/meeting-platforms): Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams made background effects and noise suppression a baseline. Ship them in your platform without building ML in-house. - [Voice AI agents](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/voice-ai-agents): Background noise breaks speech recognition, turn detection and interruptions. Clean the audio on the user's device before it reaches your agent. - [Education](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/educational-platforms): Teachers give live lectures and record lessons from home, classrooms and on the move. Make that easy without a studio or a camera operator. - [Telehealth](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/telehealth-platforms): Comfort and privacy for patients, a professional setting for doctors — with all processing on the device. - [Video software](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/video-software): Users expect browser apps to do what desktop software does. Add AI effects with a stream in and a stream out. - [Virtual webcams](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/virtual-webcams): One virtual camera, every app: effects processed once and shared by Zoom, Teams, browsers and recorders. - [Streaming tools](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/streaming-tools): Top creators have studios. Beginners have a webcam and a cheap mic — software can close the gap. - [Presentations](https://effectssdk.ai/solutions/presentation-services): Webinars switch between slides, screen sharing and the speaker. Remove the background and the layouts take care of themselves. ## Blog - [Video Effects SDK 2.6 for Windows and macOS: thread-safe pipeline, new effects, 4–18× faster NV12](https://effectssdk.ai/blog/video-effects-sdk-2-6-windows-macos): Video Effects SDK 2.6 for Windows and macOS: video noise suppression, portrait lighting, a thread-safe pipeline, GPU NV12 and smaller macOS binaries. - [Effects SDK updates — Q3 2026: new models on web and Android, Audio SDK 2.6](https://effectssdk.ai/blog/sdk-updates-q3-2026): July–September 2026: ONNX Runtime 1.27 and new models in the Web Video SDK, Audio SDK 2.6, and Android 2.15 with noise suppression and portrait lighting. - [Audio Effects SDK 2.6 for the web: new speed model, redesigned AGC, latency modes](https://effectssdk.ai/blog/audio-effects-sdk-2-6-web): Audio Effects SDK 2.6 for the web: a new speed noise model, speech-gated AGC, lookahead limiter, latency modes and resampler.
