Added Auto-Framing functionality.
Auto-framing is a feature of video conferencing software that automatically adjusts the camera view to keep the user centered in the frame during a call. This feature is becoming increasingly popular as more people work remotely and rely on video conferencing tools to communicate with colleagues, clients, and friends.
The benefit of auto-framing is that it allows users to move around during a call without worrying about staying in the frame. For example, if a user needs to stand up to grab a drink or move to a different part of the room to grab a document, the camera will follow them and adjust the frame accordingly.
Auto-framing is particularly useful for people who don't have a dedicated space for video calls or who are using a mobile device. It can help reduce distractions and create a more professional appearance during video calls.
In addition, auto-framing can also be used to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. For example, if someone uses a wheelchair or has limited mobility, auto-framing can adjust the camera to ensure they are always in the frame and visible to others.
Significantly improved segmentation quality for portrait mode.
We are consistently enhancing the machine learning model that powers our virtual background effect by incorporating new custom markers and testing the latest approaches in architecture optimization.
Introduced speed/balanced/quality segmentation presets.
In order to enhance the user experience, we have implemented speed/quality segmentation presets. The speed presets offer lower segmentation quality, while utilizing considerably fewer CPU/GPU resources and providing higher FPS. This preset is particularly beneficial for devices with older hardware, such as notebooks that are 4-7 years old.
On the other hand, the quality preset provides the highest segmentation quality, but requires a significant amount of CPU resources.
The balanced preset falls somewhere in between the speed and quality presets.
