Effects SDK updates — Q3 2025: raw PCM processing, 16 KB pages, new Android models

Q3 2025 was mostly about Android and audio. The Android Video SDK got updated segmentation models and reworked beautification, both Android SDKs added support for 16 KB memory pages required by newer Android devices, the Web Audio SDK learned to process raw PCM buffers, and iOS noise suppression starts without clicks.

Audio Effects SDK#

Web — 2.4.6

  • Raw PCM buffer processing — process audio buffers directly, not only a live MediaStream (example). This is the base for the file cleanup feature.
  • Internal model state is cleared when you switch the input MediaStream with the Balanced preset, so no artifacts carry over.

Release notes

iOS — 1.7.0, 1.7.1

  • A performance callback tells you when the pipeline cannot keep up with real time.
  • Noise suppression turns on without audible clicks.
  • Fixed distortion in the Float32-WebRTC format when chunks are not exactly 10 ms; fixed a deadlock on flush (1.7.1).

Video Effects SDK#

Android — 2.12.0

  • Updated segmentation models.
  • Reworked beautification and post-processing algorithms.

  • Fixes for LUT in low-light mode, blur artifacts and orientation in CameraPipeline.

Release notes

Web — 3.5.7, 3.5.8

  • Fixed the onSuccess callback for color filters and repeated initialization with Electron native inference (3.5.7).
  • Fixed a race that could load effect models more than once; more control over when the session starts (3.5.8).
